“I have been drawing and painting since I was a little girl. I have always been fascinated by nature and color. My first watercolor class was with Wayne Gunness. He taught traditional painting and the use of pure color. I was hooked. I have continued taking many different classes at L’Ateliar led by many wonderful artists. I was particularly inspired by Ellen Malsch. She taught more than painting. She taught the philosophy of painting: the whys and wherefores. I also want to acknowledge the support and encouragement that I have received from Marilyn Keating, Claudia Fitzgerald, Karolyn Alexander and my fellow artists in the Janesville and Milwaukee Area.. I have really enjoyed the “journey” with you and the process of “creating art” together. ”
